Day 2: Trip to the V&A
On Wednesday we went up to London to view the 'Memory Palace' exhibition. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition and all of the different mediums and styles that were used. Several artists and graphic designers assisted in the completion of this gallery, they were commissioned by the author, of the book 'Memory Palace'; Hari Kunzru to show his story. I loved the dark aspects of the work especially the detail paintings of the London landmarks being overgrown and derelict.

Other than the 'Memory Palace' exhibition I also viewed the Illustration Awards; these showed different styles of art, the ones that I found the most interesting had a cartoon kind of style, with block colours and bold lines that gave them a strong and meaningful look.

I liked how we were allowed to sit on the Pavilion, although with the lightweight appearance it did not look safe to even stand on. However, I do agree with how it is very different from other installations.
