Metamorphosis. Day 3

On Tuesday we were told to do research into our project, storyline etc.
I had planed a basic storyline (top right) that I would use for my project. I plan to so an animation similar to what I did last week but with snip-bits of live action which is in response to Jan Svankmajer. We had to get our ideas for our story from the short story 'Metamorphosis' by Frank Kafka; for mine I focused on Gregor and Gtete's relationship, how at the beginning they rely on each other to keep going and then towards the end grete is able to go off by herself and Gregor is left alone to defend for himself. I plan to use as much live action and different platforms as Svankmajer used.

The page on the top left shows some of the character design that I did at the beginning of the project; I was wondering if I could just stick animal heads over people that I had cut out of the newspaper however I decided against it and chose to photograph my models doing the poses that I wanted rather than having a 'lucky dip' of poses as I did last week.

On Friday our task was to collate all of the research and work that we had done over the past two days onto one A1 sheet of paper and then present this work to a small group for more ideas on our storyline etc.
After this talk I decided to focus more on showing Gregor and Grete's relationship clearer to the audience.
